CHURCH EVENTS TO KEEP IN MIND
Mid-Week Evening Bible Study: St. Paul's Mid-Week Evening Bible Study on World Religions and how they affect Christians today meets each Wednesday. The discussion format is based off of C.S. Lewis's concept of 'Mere Christianity' as found in the Gospel of John 14:2 "In my Father's house are many rooms." We will have a play area set up for children and it will be supervised if needed, so don't use them as an excuse. Our study will begin promptly at 7:15 and will conclude promptly at 8:15pm.
Confirmation Class: Confirmation Class will resume on January 21, 11:30 - 12:30.
Elders Meeting-January 21, 12:30pm
Youth/Sunday School News: Fourth Sundays will be set aside for youth meetings from 10:15 - 11:15 a.m. We will have a short meeting and a fun event each fourth Sunday. This is open to all 6th - 12th graders. The next meeting will be January 28th.
Volunteers Needed: St. Paul's needs two people willing to serve their church as Vice President and a three (3) year Elder. Please let the Pastor know ASAP.
2018 Contribution Envelopes: The 2018 Contribution Envelopes have been placed in the mailboxes. Please pick up your envelopes today.
2017 Contribution Statements available: The 2017 Contribution Statements are now available and have been placed in the mailboxes.
Mailboxes: Please remember to look in your mailboxes each week for any mail you may have received.
Operation Christmas Child: Sunday School and Youth group are again supporting Operation Christmas Child. Last year we sent 130 boxes! Let's try for 150 boxes this year! We need everyone's help. Each month we will bring in supplies to fill our boxes. Try to bring 1-2 things in each month! January/February -toys: Examples: small dolls or stuffed animals, hot wheels, kazoos or harmonicas, yo-yo's, jump ropes, balls, toys that light up or make noise-with extra batteries, silly bands, decks of cards, and kids meal toys. No war, military, toy guns, or toy knives please. Also remember that all items must fit into the shoeboxes so nothing too large. For older kids think about making a small fishing kit such as hooks, fishing line, and a bobber. You can also include flashlights (extra batteries) or anything else a young man or young lady would like. Make sure everything you bring is new. Check out those clearance aisles!
Cookbooks: We've included all of the recipes from those members who are no longer with us up through our current congregation. It is a hard cover 3 ring binder cookbook full of hints, tips, substitutions, and over 650 recipes.
Copies are $20 each or 5 for $75. You can contact the church office or Toni Schwartz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
